Dr.John D. Thomas - Wound Care

Dr. Thomas completed his residency at St. John Providence Hospital in metro Detroit, later moving to Longview, Texas, where he became the director of the Center for Advanced Wound Care. He is one of a small number of physicians certified in wound care by the American Board of Wound Healing. Dr. Thomas teaches classes in advanced wound care each week to the nurses he works with at various facilities. He emphasizes being proactive instead of reactive when it comes to treating wounds, resulting in better patient outcomes. Dr. Thomas has taken interactional leadership roles as Wound Care Director in multiple health care agencies, championing the educational advancement of the wound care teams in these facilities. Dr. Thomas’ is to coordinate comprehensive wound care to provide exceptional care that targets improved patient outcomes.
