Dr. Monika Ummat, MD is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist based in Houston, Texas, with over 17 years of experience in pediatric and adult neurology. She practices at Houston Neurology Clinical & Diagnostic Consultants and at the Pain and Headache Centers of Texas .
Dr. Ummat earned her medical degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune University, in 2004. She completed her pediatrics residency and child neurology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Duke University Hospital .
Board-certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology and epilepsy, Dr. Ummat specializes in treating complex neurological conditions such as refractory epilepsy, epileptic spasms, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and neuromuscular disorders.
